Malaysia Day celebration

Hi everyone, I'm the new blogger Marcus
As a Malaysian, we are patriotic people. Therefore, on September 14 (two days early), the KU Malaysian Association decided to have our own Malaysia Day celebration here in Lawrence, Kansas.
Chris, our new President decides his man cave would be the best location for this event. Yay, thanks to him.
As a typical Malaysian, we have a lot (and I mean a lot) of food.

There's our host here holding a blow torch - Chris Cheok

A great chef as well we could see here - Chris

Co-host Marveen helping out in preparing the food

It's not a Malaysia day celebration without curry chicken!!!
(I think the pot of curry was finished in about 30 minutes)

Malaysian Girls group having fun eating and eating...

playing kinect games

We even invited non-Malaysian friends to the party

And here you can see Malaysian taking some more food.

At the end of the day, we had a lot of fun
Special thanks to the few chefs who make such delicious foods.
We enjoy gatherings and celebrating special day. Hopefully, we would be able to have more gatherings and create more wonderful memories together.
It may just be us here at the University of Kansas but as Malaysians we enjoy the company of each other and we do these events to remind us that we are Malaysian.

=)
